Will be moving North from Yuma to Flagstaff.

Anyone familiar with Az 89A?? Will the road handle a 37' RV with a Jeep toad. Time is really not a consideration-don't mind going a little slower. Interested in road condition and width of lanes throughout the trip south to north. Will weather at the higher elevations present a problem this time of year? Thanks in advance!!!

Chief

We had no problems going that route last year in March. However, there was snow along the sides of the road. They must have cleard them before we came thru. So...........check the weather before your trip.

Nice views of some beautiful country.

89A from Prescott to Cottonwood I would not recomend. I believe that section has lenght restrictions of 30ft. or less. From Cottonwood to Flagstaff It is a narrow winding steep road. Very beautiful drive but not many places to park with that length. Watch the weather, is is not unusual to have the road closed due to snow.
I don't know your route plans but hwy. 89 from Wilhoit to Prescott is restricted to 30ft. total length.
Negotiating the Streets of Jerome would be very difficult if not impossable and the grades are approaching 10%.
