Hello,
We are new to pulling our 5th wheel and would like to go from phoenix to texas then up to avoid the mountains. We have heard the snowbirds often take a route to avoid flagstaff and Albuqerque mountains. We would appreciate any help with this. Thanks,

Where in Texas, and what is final destination?

If the goal is "just someplace in Texas", take I-10.

Ron; where is up? If you are going to the midwest/central, take I-10 to I-20 in West Texas. Take I-20 to Ft. Worth and take I-35 North. The only hills you will encounter will be over in Eastern AZ and Western NM.

we use I-10 thru AZ and NM then into Texas and hook up with I-20 to Abileen. Then we use Texas 277 thru Seymour to Wichita Falls into Oklahoma. We go north to Ok City to head east to Joplin MO. no mountains just hills..you would be find. We use this route coming home to Canada in late March early April from Quartzsite AZ..
