Baltimore Tunnel

does anyone know if when you travel to Florida can a motorhome take the Baltimore tunnel or do you still have to take the Key Bridge?

If you have propane you cannot go through either of the Balto. tunnels. Take I 695 west around Balto., or east over the FSK bridge.

Some member of this forum have reported that they have gone through the tunnel with no problems. Seems the rules are not enforced by local law enforcement but do so at your own risk.

Welcome to irv2.
Coming from CT. I travel down through Delaware and down through the Chesapeake over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Stay out of Baltimore Wash D.C. area much more enjoyable trip.

I live in the area and if you are caught going toward the tunnels past the last exit or exiting the tunnels you will be issued a very hefty fine.

what lostagain says, 695 West around the tunnel. It's only 7 miles longer and no tolls.

Hi All,

When I would go down I-95 from NJ to Ga & Fl I did both I-695 E or W I liked East better, but as said above West has no tolls! Now that I have as much time as I want to travel, I prefer to Take I-81 instead of I-95! No tolls and a lot nicer views!!
