Best restaurant.

Everyone hits a restaurant in their travels on occasion. Where is the best place you have eaten in your travels. Mine is hands down Lamberts Café Sikeston Mo

Mine is Puerto Vallarta in Spokane Valley, WA. Senior menu, great taco bar for $6.95 if you have a drink (24oz dos quis for $5), $7.95 if you don't. Yum.....yum

When traveling with the RV, I stay away from big cities and cook my own food. Most of restuarant eating was done when I traveled for a living, and is centered around big cities.

Bob Chinn's Crab House in Wheeling, IL (north suburb of Chicago) is probably my favorite restaurant in the country.

While camping near Gatlinburg, TN, try the Greenbrier Restaurant. A nice steak/seafood place on the outskirts of town that can be a bit hard to find.

Liz's Where Ya At Café in Mandeville, LA for breakfast or lunch..... come hungry!! Just down the road from Fountainbleau State Park (on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain) and across the bridge from New Orleans. You can't beat this little hole in the wall.

Holeman and Finch Public House - Atlanta GA

The State Line - El Paso TX // The County Line - Austin TX

I'll also second Bob Chinn's Crab House- that place is one of a kind!

I traveled around working on restaurants. I don't hit them often either but on ocassion it is nice. There is a fish joint at cocoa beach I liked but cant remember the name. Used to like golden ox in K.C. but it went down hill he last time I was there.

Hmmm, "best restaurant" means different things at different times and depends a lot upon what's going on and your state of mind at the time, we love good food. All of these have terrific food, so here's a few:

South Beach Fish Market, a "crab shack" on the beach near Newport, Oregon.

La Fiesta, a Mexican restaurant without the typical menu in San Diego's gas lamp district.

Lavendar Bistro, La Quinta, CA Great happy hour, beautiful patio.

The Date Garden Cafe, at Shields Date Garden in Indio, CA. great patio.

Baked Alaska in Astoria, OR. Overlooks the river. Accommodates dietary restrictions without restricting flavor.

Larrupin Cafe in Trinidad, CA is a unique casual fine dining place.
