Best Route from Jackson Hole, WY to Winter Park, CO
Hi all!
Looking for the best route to pull our 44 ft fifth wheel from Jackson Hole, WY to Winter Park, CO. Curious if traveling south on 191 then east on 80, south on 798 to 13 in Colorado, then east on 40 through Steamboat Springs to Granby is the best and safest way? We would like something direct and scenic but not white knuckle if it can be helped.
Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

We just got back from that area. We took 191 north to Jackson Hole and the Tetons from I80. It was a nice route, very scenic on the north half, a little boring on the south half...
It followed the river bed for a lot of the way. We had no problems with our 40 footer.
As far as Colorado from I80 I can't help you.
Jim

Think if I were worried about twisty winding roads you are on the right route to Craig then to Kremmling - Rabbit Ears Pass is on this route but you should be able to handle it.

The rest of the route, if I recall will present no problems, and will take you through a variety of Colorado Views and Terrain. Just an Added note that we have enjoyed Steamboat Lake State Park and Stagecoach State Park - both are just off the road a bit and are Beautiful if you have the chance. Didn't mean to leave out Yampa River SP, it is also fine to spend a few days.
Enjoy the drive and be sure to get back to us, as to how it was.
JMHO,
