Question Best route from mid-Michigan to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, SC?

This will be our second visit to Myrtle Beach (Ocean Lakes), but MapQuest, AAA and Good Sam all give us different routes. I'd love to hear from the experienced travelers out there .....what is the best route? We'll be traveling from mid-Michigan (US-23 and I-96 area) ......and would like to stay on the best freeways. We'll be spending one night on the way down in Mount Airy, NC. Thank you!

Hope you're coming to the National Rally.

Although it's not complete at the moment, I-73 should run from SC to MI.

I believe that I-77 would be a good option. At Columbia, SC, get on I-20 to Florence. Go North on I-95, to Exit 170. Turn left on SC-301 and later merge into SC-510. Come on in all the way through Conway. Look for SC-544 on the other side of Lake Busbee. (old power plant) It'll be a right turn and come straight into Ocean Lakes. Approaching SC-17 on the 544 stay in the center lane to go straight.
