best route from NY to VA

Hello, We are taking our first long trip and I was wondering what the best route from NY down to VA would be besides 95. also I remember reading that you can't go through the tunnel in Baltimore with an LP tank? I'm driving a 33' Class A. I would like to break up the trip and stay about 1/2 way overnight. Any suggestions??

My first question would be from where in NY to where in VA. Western NY to Western VA would be pretty easy down I-81, but where are you coming from and where are you going to. Also that is a pretty short drive, again depending on origin and destination, and I'm not sure where your half way may be. A little more info would be very, very helpful.

87 - 84 - 81 -83 - 695 around Baltimore - 95 - 495 around DC -95 - 64
Timing is everything on the beltways. 525 miles

87 -84 -81 -66 - 17 -95 -64. 585 mi.

87 njtp 95 460 mi

Lots of trucks on any of them.

#2 would be a less white knuckle ride IMO.
