Best route from Portland, OR to Las Vegas in May

Any suggestions in routing to go from Portland, OR to Vegas with stops in Eugene and Reno? Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Other then the snow issue i would take hwy 58 to hwy 97 to Kfalls, down to Alturas Calif. back side of Susanville and that will put you right in Reno. Depending on tragic and your driving habits about 9.5 hrs.

What laj said. There's a great place to overnight just off 395 south of Alturas A Likely Place RV Park It's a residential development around a golf course situated in an unlikely, very rural area. It's pretty, well maintained and not expensive.

Another unlikely RV park location is on 95 at Mina, NV Sunrise Valley RV Park, rustic but fun.

On edit:

Another park we stayed at 40 miles SE of Eugene on 58 is Caseys RV Park . Beautiful setting right on the river.

This route is a great RV drive.

FWIW....

Just me but I'd suggest I-5 to Mt. Shasta City, CA - then Hwy 89&44 across to Susanville and down 395 to Reno.

We ran this route back in September when we left Bandon, OR and headed for Panguitch, UT. It was a nice ride on all good road.
