I love 301, except for those bridges. You forgot to mention the Bay Bridge in or Annapolis, one of the most terrifying bridges in the world to drive over. If you can handle the bridges it's worth getting off I 95 and avoiding D.C. I also get onto MD2at Annapolis and head south before coming back out to 301 just before the Potomac River bridge (also terrifying). 301 has a lot of lights if you take it all the way. Once you're in Virginia it makes it all worth it, a nice relaxing drive right into Richmond.
