Smile Best route to Hiawassee, Georgia from Chattanooga

Traveling to Hiawassee, Georgia next week in our Winnebago Minnie Travel Trailer for a family reunion. After Chattanooga the road through the Ocoee is sharp and narrow so after studying map considered taking I-75 south to Ellijay on Highway 76 to Hiawassee. Since we are newbies, I guess we are trying to get the easiest and safest route. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

Take I75 south out of Chattanooga 41/3/52/7(north Dalton Byp then take 441 south to 76 east to East Ellijay 515 to Hiawassee.

I have gone US-64 to NC-69/GA-17 the last several times. Since TDOT reworked the Oocee gorge it's not so bad. But if you want to go US-76 that not bad either, a little longer. Exit I-75 at exit 336. You will have turn left where GA-52 joins up. Take US-411 south,US-76, GA-282 will turn left south of Chattsworth. Do NOT take GA-52 to Ellijay. GA-515 in East Ellijay, 4 lane to Blairsville 2 lane on to Hiawassee.
