Best route to take///

Can any one help with the best route to take from RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA to Albuquerque, New Mexico???
Traveling in a 43 ft bus. Hoping for a good way.
Any thoughts on Hwy83 to Abilene, TX?
I like doing the interstate unless there is another good way.

If you want all freeway, take I90 west to I25. I25 goes right down the front range to New Mexico. If you go south out of Rapid City, go to Scottsbluff and then west to hit I25. If I remember correctly there is a tunnel on the highway through the Black Hills with a height restriction. If you go as far south as Scottsbluff, it's all flatland.

Not interstate route

South from Rapid City on SD-79 (four lane) to near Hot Springs
West on US 18 (two lane wide shoulders) to Junction with US 85
South on US 18/85 to Lusk, WY
West on US 18/20 to I-25 at Orin, WY

This is all good road ... I have travelled it more than once

I-25 will take you right to Albuquerque .... I-25 is a nice drive ... try to avoid getting to Denver or Colorado Springs during their rush hours.
