Best way through Kansas City on I 35 going north.
Going to be heading north on I 35 through Kansas City. Just wondering if staying on 35 is ok, or would it be better to take 435 around KS and back to 35. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

When we travel that route, we take 435 around the East side.

I-435 ether direction is a long way out of way. In downtown KC I-70 Eastbound and I-35 Northbound cross in about half mile. But you only need to move to the left 2-3 lanes. And the lanes are well marked. But, while you are making the lane changes you are going under a 4 lane bridge every block. I have never looked but GPS might go apesnot. All and all, I would avoid rush hour, and run right thru center.

I go thru Kansas City a couple times a year. I have yet to find a route that is better than the other. I base my route on which ever route is closest to my favorite BBQ joint - you are going thru Kansas City!!

LOL. I can stand under that. What is your favorite, and how is parking? One early afternoon 3 of us managed to land long nose Petes and 39 ft trailers down on Brooklyn, but at least on cop was upset before we got our to-go order. (Maybe because he had to double park, or walk a block)
