Has anyone traveled this route? I am 36' and towing a JEEP, is this a doable route? No low clearances or other obstacles that are in the category "need to know"??? TIA

You'll be fine. We've traveled it with our 41' fifth wheel with no issues or worries. There are no low overpasses that will give you issue.

Enjoy - that's beautiful country there.

The traffic is pretty crazy, not heavy just crazy, on the weekends with a lot of folks in a hurry and quite a few trucks. The random small town stop lights will catch you off guard if not looking ahead. Its is a very drivable road though just stay alert. Then there are the interstates through Jackson, my least favorite city to drive through.

I travel the route often and you’ll find it ok. Bypass Hattiesburg, via us98W to I59N, and then back on US-49 (a gps usually gives that route).
There are lights, but the main problem at this time is the hwy 49 road construction, as you get near Jackson (Florence and Richland). The road is very rough through there.
