We will be going this way in a couple of weeks. In the past, I have taken Ala SR 55 from I-65 thru Andalusia to I-10. I don't want to go that way again. (Two lane country roads in a 36' MH with a car in tow is not fun at all.)

I also took US 231 before and it is ok, but it has a lot of stop and go traffic.

I would prefer to stay on Interstates and was thinking about just taking I-65 to
almost Mobile, to I-10. I guess it would be an easy relaxing route.
Avoiding Atlanta traffic would also be a preference.
What do you think?

Just made the trip in a 35' with car in tow. We came I-65 to Montgomery, then I-85 N to US-231 S to Dothan, then US-84 to Bainbridge, GA and finally US-27 S to Tallahassee. It was 4 lane all the way and we had little or no problems with traffic. Total driving time approx. 6 hours (not counting stops). Good luck on your trip.
