Boston to Philly
We are planning to travel from the Boston area to the Philly area in a Class A 35', clearance 13', and would like to have suggestions on the best route to avoid as much traffic and low clearance as possible around NYC. Thanks for any suggestions.

Take note .... the Tapanzee Bridge is closed ... not sure if it's reopened, or when it will reopen..
If it's still closed, you'll likely take a route further north..

Traffic around NYC can be horrific. Especially the GW bridge. If you luck out and have no traffic, the Cross Bronx Expressway is a terrible road (one of the worst in the country IMHO). The Tapanzee bridge is open now.
While it is longer. I prefer to take the Mass. Tpke to the NY Thruway south onto the Garden State pkwy. Only one area near MM144, where you need to be in the middle lanes to avoid a low overpass. Not a big deal, I do it all the time. Get on the NJ Turnpike, exit 6 will take you into Philly.
Good luck.

Starwind...... The Pike to I-84W to I-87S to I-287 to I-95/NJTP, then either Exit 6 (I-276) or the Whitman Bridge, depending on what area of Philly you're aiming at.
