Buffalo, WY to Boise opinions

We are in Buffalo, WY and will start to head to Boise (then to a service appointment in Oregon). We've visited YS before and I don't plan to drive thru YS on this trip (drove the Beartooth Hgwy so had my thrills). The options I have selected are north on I90 to Belgrade, then down to West YS, then 20 over to Boise. I understand 191 thru Gallatin is pretty scenic and we've not driven that road.

My other consideration is south to Casper, Rawlins, then pick up 80 over to the Boise area.

The mileage difference is not that great (less than 100 miles) so just looking for opinions on these two options from folks who have traveled in these areas.
