Burlington VT to Bromont, Quebec - motorhome with propane and car in tow

I'm trying to plan this route. The shorter route from google maps takes I89 north to Canada, and and route 133 to 202 in Quebec

My Garmin RV770 routes me to I91 North into Canada.

The Garmin flags propane restrictions every mile as soon as I enter Quebec.

Can I use I89 north, and what are the propane restriction warnings about?

I can't imagine why your garmin would take you to I91 to get to Bromont from Burlington. That's just nuts. Take 89 up.

We went through that general area last fall crossing into and out of Canada 4 times and my Garmin RV660 did not flag propane at all.

Burlington VT to Bromont, Quebec - motorhome with propane and car in tow

The RV770 propane warnings are triggered by the size (25 gal. / 100 lb.) of the tank in my vehicle profile. The Garmin software does not yet allow you to identify DOT vs ASME (frame mounted in motorhome) tanks.

I suspect the Canadian restrictions apply only to the DOT propane cylinders but did not have time to walk into a police station to verify this while I was there.

I eliminated the warnings by changing the size of the propane tank in the vehicle profile.
