We are heading up to South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Valley RV Resort in July. We want to go up Hwy 395 and stop along the way. What would be the best way to come into South Tahoe from the 395, I hear the 89 is a pretty steep climb. Any ideas how what highways to take?
TIA

Are you coming from the south or north? I took the 89 South into North Lake Tahoe and it was very steep. Lots of traffic through Incline Village. The way I normally go in off the 395 is US 50 out of Carson City. The road is 4 lane highway all the way up. Takes you right into Zephyr Cove.

We are coming in from the South. Hwy 50 looks like the best bet. Thanks
