California 41 Morro Bay to Atascadero

We have a 40 ft 5th wheel that we pull with a 350 with a full bed. Bumper to bumper we are 60 ft long. We are making this trip next month, April 2016. Are there any issues we should be aware of driving out of Morro Bay east on highway 41?

None that I can remember but we have only driven it in a SUV. There is nothing I can remember that would keep us from taking our MH thru there.

I have taken the route, both ways, just don't want to do it any more. Two lanes up and down, over the hills.

Considering your options, it's probably your best choice. I remember 46 to the north as being much steeper. Going back thru SLO then using 101 still leaves you with a pretty good grade, but it is freeway. Mountain Directory says 101 has 3 miles of 7% grade southbound.

We made the drive without any problems. I would not hesitate to recommend the route.
