You couldn't ask for a better time to travel California. I love this time of year for anywhere. No crowds and fall colors and mild weather. We run a campground and this is the time of year when we get to get away.

What a long strange trip it's been.

No longer RVing. Happy Trails to you.

Warm days and cool nights if we don't have the Santa Ana Winds in So Cal.
the farther south you go the milder the weather. Yosemite is in the Sierra Neveda Mountains and gets alot cooler. But I have camped in the Yosemite Valley in the snow (winter not this time of year) with our RV years ago and no problem. September and October are the best months to visit California.

This is a great time to explore CA! Little fog on the coast and very few people. Inland at places like Yosemite is really pretty and the huge crowds are gone. The nights cool off pretty quick. I would plan your trip so you hit the higher elevations earlier as you can get some snow by mid Nov at the higher elevations. Just keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly. The pass in Yosemite will close for the season at some point heading to 395 so check the date if you plan to take that route.

This is the best time of the year to visit California.

When we have relatives and friends come to visit we suggest this time of the year.
2004 Monaco La Palma 36DBD, W22, 8.1, 7.1 MPG
2000 LEXUS RX300 FWD 22MPG 4020 LBS

Don't know where I'm going, spose I'll get there anyway.
