Carson City, NV to Hollister, CA

Okay, need some help with the California portion of our trip. Approx. November 1, we plan on arriving in Carson City, NV from the east and have about two weeks to get to Hollister, CA. If you had two weeks and a 25 foot RV, what route would you take and what would you see along the way?

Thanks in advance!

If you haven't seen Lake Tahoe, I would go US-50 through the mountains.
