CO 24 from Colorado Springs to Limon

How is the road from Colorado Springs to Limon? Thinking of taking it to Limon instead of going back through Denver. Thanks in advance!

It is 2 lane without a lot of services, but not bad drive at all. Just have a full tank of gas.

We'll be 42' towing. Will that make a difference?

We took it the summer before last and as I recall it was just fine. We picked it up at I-25 so it's a bit weird at first going through town. No problems, we just don't drive through many towns on a four lane street, so it seemed different. After we got out of Colorado Springs it was clear sailing to Limon. Nice, smooth asphalt with good shoulders.

Semis also use, so length is not an issue.

Be careful with the speed limits in the small towns, the police are unmarked and in vehicles that do not even closely resemble police. The speed limit will drop to 35, and you need to be going 34
