Cody, WY to Junction City, OR

We are hitting the road this Friday for my first post-retirement trip. We have 3 months to travel this interval. After an appointment at Summit RV in Iowa, we will head west to Kearney, NE to visit my favorite, Cabelas. From there, we want to visit Cody, WY. After that, we have until an appointment at the CC factory on July 14 so looking for other neat places/routes to eventually put us near Eugene, OR. We've been to Mt. Rushmore, GC, RMNP, GTNP, Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon. We also want to visit Washington state.

So, looking for any suggestions for routes, great stuff to see between Cody and Oregon. Based on our tentative schedule, we will have a month to get from Cody to Oregon, even longer if we want since we can change that appointment at CC.

Craters of the Moon in Idaho is interesting, or you could go north to Glacier and Flathead Lake. Coeur d'Alene on I-90 is a nice place to camp, a beautiful lake, lots of moose. So many places that aren't Iowa to explore and experience! You could spend your time on the Oregon coast, there are state parks with great camping every couple of miles it seems. They have a great web site with campground maps and reservation system.
State of Oregon: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: State Parks

Enjoy, take your time!

If you go to Craters of the Moon in Idaho you will probably use hwy 20/26 and on that route id the EBR-1 (Experimental Breeder Reactor No. 1). It is very interesting to tour and is just off the highway. There is room for RV parking.
