Colorado I-70

With vacation time near, to those of you thinking of traveling on I-70 through Colorado - today I traveled from Grand Junction, CO to Denver on I-70, and I rate it as the third worst piece of interstate I have traveled having been coast to coast to coast (Texas is the third coast), in the past three years. New York and Connecticut rate 1 and 2 for worst, with Pennsylvania close. Colorado's I-70 is in horrific condition west of the Eisenhower Tunnels and especially west of Silt, CO. I will not travel it again in my motorhome until after it has been rebuilt. Now I will spend many hours putting my coach back together!!!

Sorry to hear that, I've found I-40 to be pretty bad as well, wonder where all the Federal & State gas tax monies are going, certainly not to maintain the Interstates..

When possible I try traveling on the State-US highways as they seem to be better maintained with some exceptions.

I was on the west bound side last summer and I remember it as being one of the nicer road surfaces I have been on. I think I40 Kingman - Flagstaff in both directions is the worst.
