Columbia, MO to Gulf Shores, AL

Need a good "easy, smooth" route from Columbia, MO area to Gulf Shores, Al. Does not need to be the quickest route as we have time and want to enjoy the trip. Will leave the last week in October.

How is Hwy 63 on south to Jonesboro, AR? We are pulling a 35ft travel trailer.

Hwy 63 is not good and smooth, easy, yes, It is a 2 lane hwy. I would take I-70 to I-270 to I-55 and run I-55 south into Memphis down to 35 then to 19 then to 45 then keep going south, Jump on I-10 east and you will be warm again . I live in Richland, Missouri and that is the route I took to get to Mobile.. My wife LOVES the Mississippi rest areas.. LOL or you could take this route, we took this one coming back from Birmingham. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Gulf...7!2d38.9516855
