Condition of I-80 West from Salt Lake City?

Good evening,
Anyone driven I-80 West bound from Salt Lake City Utah across Nevada and into California lately. I'm specifically interested in the condition of the road surfaces. I've read one post that says the chains from the 18 wheelers have torn up the roadway pretty badly in the higher elevation area's. Can anyone confirm or comment on the road conditions? Hate driving on potholed torn up highways. Headed that way in about two weeks.
Appreciate any information you can give me.

Thumbs down

Yes We did a couple of weeks ago on our way back to Calif from Utah.
80 is good until you get into Calif. There's about 30 or40 miles of it that's absolutely horrible.

Just came across the Sierra/Nevada's from California, I-10 in Louisiana is a lot rougher, but we were headed east bound. From Colfax to stateline there is a lot of road work being done both directions.
Again road wasn't to bad nothing fell out of cabinets when we open them.
