Crater Lake has a Campground. If you plan to experience CL, use your toad and don't pass up a ride on the lake.

I did that route a few years ago and do not remember any problem or concern.

If you're talking about staying on 62 to 97 at Chiloquin and south to Klamath Falls, it's definitely doable with a 40' MH. We've done it often.

A couple good places to stay if you want to explore the circle drive along Crater Lake are: on 62 at Prospect - Joseph H. Steward State Rec Area. Also, just north of Chiloquin is Collier Memorial State Park. Both have big rig sites.

FYI. Local news this morning says there is a forest fire near Crater Lake. There'll probably be a lot of smoke and may highway closures.

Oregon highway 230 that runs along the North and west sides of Crater Lake has been closed to traffic because of wildfires. Here is a report in today's Mail Tribune.
