Dallas TX to Nappanee IN

Hi -

I have to go from Dallas to Nappanee next week (week of 12 December).

I'm thinking I30 to Little Rock, switching to I40, and then to I55 outside of Memphis, and then over to I57 to I70 and around Indianapolis, and then up either I69 or US31 (depending on weather), and finally end on US6.

I've never been that far north (hey, do I need a passport since I'm from the south?), so any suggestions, road-conditions, alternates, etc, that you may want to pass on would be greatly appreciated.

Are any campgrounds still open this late in the year? What's fuel-prices (gas) been running? Any tips on winter-driving or keeping the motorhome plumbing from freezing-up while traveling would also be welcome.


As you may guess, we are making the 'pilgrimage' to the factory for some mods and are quite excited about it (And a bit hesitant about what to expect, truth be known).
