Daytona area, Florida

I need advise.

I am going to be traveling to Myrtle Beach S.C. from Miami, solo for the first time in April. I am planning on a two night stop. I like to drive no more than 5 hrs. each day. I can leave earlier if nessessary. I am not familiar with any campgrounds on the east coast in Florida. I usually go up the central part of Florida and I know of a few places up that way. It looks like going 95 north to be the most direct way to go.

Do you have any suggestions about campgrounds up that way.

Thanks

For an overnight stop, International RV Park and Campground has easy access from I-95 near the US-92 exit. Rates are reasonable and if you're PA member you can stay at half price. A little farther north on I-95 at Ormond Beach near the US-1 interchange you'll find an Encore Resort, Sunshine Holiday Daytona which also gives the PA discount.

Hi Happymi,
Hitchhiker mentioned two good choices for the first night. For the second night consider The Oaks At Point South. It is just off I95, exit 33 in South Carolina. It is a PA and Good Sam Park. It is rated 8,8,8 in the TL directory. Contact number is 843-726-5728.

F Y I...
I've looked at PA camp grounds if Florida and most don't honor PA discounts in Jan.,Feb.,March- Also race week before & after. 5 hrs. driving would be very close to the Daytona area so as Hitchiker suggested Intl RV would in the time span.
safe travels...

We've stayed at the Speedway KOA in Daytona twice and been happy both times. Exit 261B of I95 and within a half mile of the exit.

If you are a beach lover...this one is right on the beach approx 25 miles north of Daytona Beach just south of Palm Coast Beverly Beach Camptown Resort.
