Yea if it goes real bad I have the option of putting it in FL and flying home.
Just looked at going from Denver to Orlando the Southern route is looking
like it is the ticket if the weather goes to crap and I can visit sis in Nashville
if I head down South.

Having made the trip often from Denver to Annapolis and In reverse I'd suggest this route - MAP - https://binged.it/2IQRWic - Taking I-70 to RT 36 to Hannibal then I-72 to Champaign then I-74 to Indianapolis picking up I-70 to Columbus then I-80 and 84 on to Boston.

West of the Mississippi is fine on RT 36 then we get you to the east with no tolls and the roads while not great at least drivable then as you get to PA and New England - anybody's guess - as these roads are not always known for being in good shape.

Even in Colorado the weather should be fine (Except for the quick snow storm) but that will melt and is not likely to be a pest in the Plains. As for Pennsylvania and New England they both rarely have snow before December.

IMHO we have always found the I-80, 90 routes to be too heavy with truck traffic and tolls so we avoid them, and the RT 36 part of the drive is a great change of pace with very little traffic and very good roads that just get better as you move to the East.

Having done this drive in October - November - December and January the only time we had any snow was once in January, it was only a couple of inches and provided a beautiful drive for the last couple Hundred miles (Maybe 300) into Denver

Hope this helps,
