Looking for route info on road from Dillard, GA, to Chattanooga, TN. Thinking about going from Dillard to Sylvia, NC, to Ducktown, TN and on to Chattanooga. Do not know how the road is for an RV. Would appreciate some info.

You may want to drop Hitchhiker a private message. I'm sure he is somewhat familiar with the route that you are considering.

Why are you taking such a round about route? Go up to Franklin, hang a left at the Bypass and take Hwy 64 to Chattanooga. You will need to turn left at the traffic light in Murphy and take the Bypass around Cleveland (to the left again). Get your gas at one of the gas station near the Flea Market in Rabun Gap as it's cheaper there than in NC (or at the gas station on the State line). Personally I don't like going thru the Gorge, so I swing off Hyw 64 in Hayesville (traffic light just past the Ingles grocery store) and run down to Hiawassee to pick up 76 into Dalton and pop onto I75. Make that I USED to... I don't gotta make that run ever again!

I used to live in Franklin... up until last summer. I also used to live just west of Chattanooga while David was living in Franklin & working in Highlands. I am very familiar with that trip since I used to drive over to Franklin and back home again about twice a month for over 7 years.
