Streetglide... Welcome to iRV2.com! When are you heading to Fort Wilderness? I am going from RI to FW in August and have mapped out the route I will take. If you are going during the winter months, I'm not sure I'd go the same way. I'll post what I've got when I get home but basically, I'll take rt 2 into Hartford, I84 to Scranton, I81 South to 66 and then to I95.

Why don't you think about joining us at the NorEaster's rally in Herkimer, NY?

Welcome to iRV2 from us also!

The above info is probably your preferred route with one clarification. On I-66 take the exit for US 17 and follow that to I-95 at Fredericksburg. That avoids the D.C. traffic. I-295 around Richmond can also help prevent heartburn.

Enjoy your travels!

We leave Wed. I like I/84 to I/81 (Scranton, PA) to I/77 (Wythville, VA) to I/26 (Columbia, SC)to I/95 (Orangetown, SC) to I/4 (Daytona, FL).
If snow or rain threatens I/81 in PA can get bad because there are lots of mountains. So then I get off 84 at the first exit in PA (maybe #54) and take Rt 209 to I/80 to PA 33 to US 22 (Allentown PA) to I/78 to I/81 at Harrisburg, PA which is south of the mountains. the 77-26 etc.
If the weather is bad in VA (posssible but not as likely) US 17 to I66 to I/95.

We went this fall and took I-87 to I-84 to I-81 down to I-64 to 288 to I-95. It was a really easy drive and MUCH nicer then dealing with all that traffice. We've actually gone down and back that same route twice now.

Safe travels.

I promised you more complete directions from RI to Fort Wilderness and here they are (from Warren, RI):
Rt 136 North
Rt I-195 W
Rt I-95 N to immediate exit
Rt 6 W
Rt I-395
Rt 2
Rt 3
Rt I-91
Rt I-691
Rt I-84
Rt I-81
Rt I-77
Rt I-26
Rt I-95
Rt I-4

Local Roads from there.
total of 1430 miles from Warren.

There may be a different way to go but, I think I'm going to take this way. I'm still kind of playing with Streets and Trips a little though.

So, do you have a Streetglide or a Roadglide?

I do ride. I've got a 2007 Victory Jackpot. If we don't meet up camping, we can always take a ride!

Happy New Year!

Tim
