What would be the best route to take on March 1st: I-40 or I-10 to 20 to get to I-65 that time of the year. Streets and trips says it's only about 1 hour difference in time. JG

HERE is the historical weather profile for Amarillo, TX (I-40).

HERE is the historical weather profile for the Midland-Odessa TX area (I-20).

Snow/ice is still a possibility, although not a likelihood, in the Texas panhandle in March.

If I were to make the trip I would go I-10, bit further, but could have some nasty roads along I-40 in both AZ and NM. Once in West Texas check the weather to determine if I-20 would be clear. I have been in Abilene, TX in April with snow on the ground.
