That is great news! Thanks for sharing it.
It would be nice and convenient if you could use the same pass for RV, RV with toad, and car only. Don't know why it couldn't be done.

Wow! Last year I bought an EZ pass in Ohio. Just one, and they never asked about RV on the application. I just put it on the front of RV while towing and never any letters and complaints. They did charge about $120 in tolls from Ohio to Winnipeg via North Dakota. I just figured the sensors figured the charge by length. I also don't pay a monthly fee for my transponder.

I have an EZ-Pass from NJ and have used it quite a bit on my cars, but haven't dared to put it on my MH while towing my car behind it. Very soon I will have an opportunity to drive through PA and OH. For that, I'll use your approach and see what happens. Thanks for your post!

We found a portable mounting device for our EZPASS at a truck stop. Was about $5 and it makes it easy to move the transponder from vehicle to vehicle, even a rental car. We have the IPASS from IL and it has no monthly fee.

I used my NY Car EZPass on my MH, with toad, for a summer, in NY, NJ and PA.

It would count the axles and charge me the correct amount. I double checked.

It all went bad while traveling the NYS Thruway. They use height sensors to detect trucks. The first 2 axles need to be under 7 ft something or it gets rejected.

Now I have a blue pass for the MH. I can still get the car rates if I show a MH registration to them. Haven't been up that way yet.

Don't get caught up by the EZ pass scam over unpaid tolls.

The federal initiative to consolidate all toll roads: http://tollroadsnews.com/news/feds-p...oll-facilities

The current stumbling block is FL's two different systems, and CA's system are not compatible w EZ pass.
