Fargo ND to Kalispell Montana in a gasser

Hey Everyone ...

The title says it all .. I may be travelling for work leaving from Fargo ND and travelling to Kalispell Montana. We're driving a 32' National SeaBreeze - Ford V10 - towing our car on a trailer.

Anyone have any recommendations for a route?

Should we head out to Montana, we'll be there for a week or two and then driving from Montana to Pocono PA (for the NASCAR weeked), then leaving Pocono and driving to Sioux Falls SD.

I have a number of projects spread out across the midwest - projects that conflict with my vacation time/ NASCAR weekends.

Looks like the 'ol RV is going to see some big mileage this summer

Take your pick. US-2 or I-90.

US-2 is going to take you through the busy oil patch in NW ND and NE MT, but the roads are well-maintained, and it's a fairly direct route. The view is boring through N. Central Montana, but you'll go right around Glacier NP toward the end.

I-90 gives you a bit better travel time, but is less direct. Turn N off I90 at Missoula and take US93 up the west shore of Flathead Lake (or the alternate..slower, but more direct route up the east shore).

I don't know "when" Pocono is (obviously not a NASCAR fan). When are you traveling?

I'm in Kalispell.

We did US 2 last Fall with a 35' gasser (Workhorse) plus tow dolly with no problems. We planned our overnight stops to avoid Williston because of the oil ffields. It's a good road, easy drive.
