Fayetteville Ar to Maine ??

We are new to the m/h life .This is our first major trip.Leaving July 2th taking our time and arriving in Bath Maine July the 7 (we have a pad site rented in Bath Maine for a month)
My question is anyone have a suggestion on route and places to stop over night we can do walmarts if we have to being the Weekend of July 4th RV parks may be full trying not to run gen as much as possible( have residential frig,no solar yet it is coming) Any suggestions would be very helpful. We have a 40' Monaco 4 slides

We live in Springdale and my DW is from Maine. We have traveled there every summer for 40 years. To the place we stayed at Sebec Lake Maine, about 8 miles north of Dover Foxcroft it was exactly 2,000 miles from AR.
We can advise you when we get home. We are currently in DC visiting our kids and will be home at the beginning of next week.
