First long trip from Florida to Yellowstone

We are new RV owners from Hollywood FL and we want to plan a trip to Yellowstone in the spring. My idea was to take the southern route from south Florida along the coast through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, either up through Colorado or Utah into Wyoming stopping at the best places along the way. The route back home is unsure at this time. My big question is when to leave in order to avoid freezing temperatures. I expect the trip to take 6 to 8 weeks and spending several days at the major stops like Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Mount Rushmore, the badlands etc.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Making reservations at these places is an issue also. I assume it needs to be done now. Thanks in advance.

Stopped at Mt. Rushmore a few years back in late April, got snowed on.

I answered in your other post. Plan to be at Yellowstone by June 15 before the families start coming. It will be more crowded later on.

From Grand Canyon Arizona do the wonderful southern Utah national parks - Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches. Then head for Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

On your return you can get into Colorado and there's Mesa Verde Nat'l Park, Durango, Pagosa Springs for a nice long soak and Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park if you have time - but I doubt you will!
