Either way, I figure on being gone roughly 2 weeks to a month. I've heard several resources on free campsites, including walmarts Other than that, how much money can we save on the road?(usually, we either drive wherever we go, or fly and rent a car)

$3000 to 3500 for this trip west for 1 month and thats not long enough and dont drive RV over Bar-Tooth like some Fool's do!

We're heading to S.Carolina June for a couple month in East, but not NY!

That is US-2, I believe the post is referring to a state highway 2. US-2 passes along the south border of Glacier (it does go in for a bit). To see Glacier you want to head to St Mary on the east side or West Glacier. That will put you on one of the ends of the Going-to-the-Sun Road. This road has a strict 21 foot limit on it, so you need a toad to see the best parts of Glacier. The east end is closer to Logan Pass and close enough for day trips to Many Glacier and Two Medicine.
