Flagstaff, AZ to Cedar City, Utah

I'm looking at taking US-89 North out of Flagstaff to US-89A (damage to 89 forces us onto 89A) to Fredonia then west on AZ-389 to UT59, then either UT-9
or UT-17 to I-15. Are these roads ok for a 37' DP with a Toad? My wife gets real nervous when she sees any grade over 7% and UT-14 from 89 over to I-15 has some 8%ers.

From Flagstaff you can now use 89T detour road which will take you into Page. Then continue north on 89 to Hwy 20 and over to I-15. We have not driven 89T yet but know of others who have and they said it a nicely paved road now. It used to be gravel before the landslide on 89. Now it's a well-used route to get to Page.

Newly completed US 89 bypass fully open with no restrictions

Or...89A to Jacob Lake to Fredonia and 390/59/9 to I-15 is also good for big RVs but your wife will have to close her eyes with the uphill approach to Jacob Lake.

We have taken the Fredonia route often with our 40'.

Check with UT DOT before travelling UT-14 ... it is not always open.

Definitely don't take UT14; take UT20 a little further north. It's a much easier grade for RVers.

I used 89T when it first opened and it was a very nice road. I like it better than the original 89 route.
