Yes that is the way I go and was thinking of trying 95 all the way up to
the GW bridge and wanted to avoid any tunnels because of propane and trying to remember if any tunnels on that route.

We do this trip several times a year. If you are heading up 95 there is a tunnel at the bay in Baltimore. Look on your map and take the 495 or 695 can't remember which one, west around Baltimore. This will put you back on 95 at the top of Baltimore. You are then clear to the GW.

I've done this also many times. South of Baltimore follow signs for 695 and the Francis Scott Key Bridge (aka Key Bridge). it will put you back on 95N which will get you up to NYC. A little more scenic trip that I like, and there are no tunnels, is to head over to RT 301 and follow it North up through the MD, you go thru Annapolis and over the Bay Bridge tunnel, and up 13 thru Delaware and will connect with 95 just south of Wilmington,DE. You pass some great farm markets in Delaware where you can get fresh fruits and veggies. Around Annapolis(Chesapeake Bay) is great seafood just after the Bay Bridge tunnel on Kent Island. Good Stuff.

That's what I was looking for and thanks for the help,we will be leaving
Fl.around June 29 and will take our time and if our friends who live in Richmond right off 95 and if they are available we will stop and visit.
We also may visit friends in NJ on the way to Long Island and from NJ I
can time traveling to LI when less traffic.
Thanks again.

Seriously. With Homeland Security possibly getting involved with this kind of violation it could cost a whole bunch more than just a fine.

I can go through the tunnels now with the all-electric coach, but before that it was the "interesting" Key bridge for me.

I have seen a couple class A coaches go through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, and nobody stopped them. I even pulled off the road to see how long it took them to catch up to me, since I used my ez-pass and they used a different lane. They came by me about a minute later. So, nobody hassled them.
Will I take our coach through the tunnel? NO! It's not worth the risk. Take the sceneic route ==> Key Bridge around to 95. If you are pulling a toad be prepared for a heavy toll on the G.W. Bridge. I hear it's very pricey.
I would consider the 301 route over 95 / Richmond / DC Beltway. Traffic in tha area makes me cringe, an I live outside of Baltimore. The last time I did 95 from Richmond to Baltimore took about 4 1/2 hours due to traffic.

Called state police in MA and RV's are exempt. Check with other states as you may be wasting time and effort.

Got yelled at in the toll booth on the I-95 tunnel by the toll person once for not going around. I'm pretty sure Baltimore still has issues with RV's with propane.
