Fort worth to Buena Vista Co

Will be pulling 40 foot fifth wheel to BV THIS WEEKEND. not sure if I should go to Walsenburg then on to Salida, or got north and cross over west thru Pueblo. Trying to stay out of winding hilly roads as much as possible.

Any insight will be appreciated !

We have good friends in Buena Vista. Coming from your direction I would just go up to Pueblo to 50 west through Salida and get on 17 north to BV. We've gone that way with our 40' motorhome towing a car without any problem. We've also done it by way of Woodland Park which is more scenic, but a good pull from Colorado Springs to Woodland Park.
