From San Jose CA to Reno

I am traveling in a 32 ft MH towing a Jeep Wrangler. I want to go to Reno using I 80 E. what is my best route around San Francisco?

Also what is I 80 like as far as altitude?

Go north on 680 to north on 580 to east on 205 to north on 5 then east on 80
