Anyone have any recent experience with routing from Memphis to Branson?? We (43'Mtn. Aire, 45' Signature, 38' Dutch Star) are going to the GEAR rally in Memphis and since we are all from Eastern NC don't see any reason in coming home and heading back out to Branson, so we thought we would take in Branson while out that way.
Read a previous discussion on I65 from Little Rock I believe it was and the thoughts were that the road was curvy and very steep in places. Any suggestions out there on BEST route? Easy on the driver and equipment!!

This is how I get to Branson from Memphis.

<LI>I55 North To Exit 66 In Missouri (Rt 60)
<LI>Rt 60 West To Springfield, MO (Rt 65)
<LI>Rt 65 South To Branson[/list]Just to let you know, I am biased about Rt 65 South of Branson through Arkansas. I do not like it. Others have different opinions of Rt 65 through Arkansas.

FYI to the poster who previously implied I travel fast (another thread) and that is why I do not like Rt 65 South of Branson. The fact is I travel the speed limit on non interstate roads. On interstate roads I travel 62 MPH.

If one likes to drive up, down and around, going through small towns all day then Rt 65 South of Branson is for you. If one like to use cruise control or at least be on a road that is semi limited access (Rt 60) then the route mentioned above is for you.

Thanks Gary... we like to make steady progress. Normally I lead the group because my "Signature" friend likes to lock his VORAD onto my Mountain Aire. I like to set the cruise on about 65.

We are back from Branson and took your route. Seemed like it took most of the day but I liked the route and roads. Thanks for the recommendation.
