Going Through Salt Lake City

I'll be driving through Salt Lake City, going and coming, this summer and was wondering if I should just stay on I-15 or if it would make any sense to take I-215 or another route?

Have family in SLC, and have traveled through many times.
Agree with leadfoot3. Use common sense, and avoid rush hour.

I-15 through here is mostly fine. There is some major road construction going through the area about 40 miles south of SLC where you need to be careful with the RV. Would definately recommend staying away from there during rush hour in a big rig. There is no benefit to using I-215 unless you going East or West through the city at the present.
