Goshen HR 419 MS Routing

We will be leaving Baton Rouge, La. headed north and would like some information on some of the route. Would like to know which of the following would be the better route to Goshen In.
1 I55 to I57 then to I 70 around Indianapolis then up US 31 toUS 20 over then down to Goshen .
2 I55 to I57 to US 24 to Fort Wayne then up US 33 north to Goshen.
Any information would be appreciated
Thanks
Harry

#2 - only turn North from US 24 onto IN 15 @ Wabash. In 15 was a good lightly-traveled 2-lane highway last time I drove to Goshen. These highways are designated as truck routes, thus safe for large RV's too.
