Gulf Shores to Spring Hill, FL - US 98

I am planning to go to Spring Hill, FL soon and will follow US 98 along the coast. When leaving Gulf Shores I want to use the local highways thru Orange Beach to Pensacola then pick up 98 the rest of the way. Are there any roads that would not be friendly to a 36' MH & toad? I expect to make numerous sightseeing stops. Also, going past Panama City and Mexico Beach are the roads passable for through traffic there? I recently saw on the news that they are struggling to rebuild but hope I can pass by instead of taking a longer bypass out of the way.

98 is fine for you rig. If you go through Pensacola Beach and the national seashore there will be a toll when crossing from Gulf Breeze. Be sure and swing through 30a when you get past Destin. Parking there to sight see will be an issue but it will be worth it to at least drive through. From there to Panama City is fine. Be sure and stay to the right to go along the shoreline through Panama City Beach.

FYI -- following the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael, last year, Panama City is experiencing a huge infux of contractors and repair people which has produced a huge volume in traffic. Most contractors are living in hotels and condos on Panama City Beach and when they get up ,in the morning, the traffic going into Panama City is horrible. Take your time ( you won't have a choice) and be very alert -- the drivers in Panama City weren't the best prior to the hurricane but have gotten worse with the increase in traffic.
I grew up there and only go to visit relatives -- last time I was there it was a circus.
