Headed to DISNEY! Best camps to stay the night? Ft.Worth to Orlando

We're looking for the best places to spend the night on the road as we travel in our new 40' motorhome with a toad from Fort Worth, Texas to Orlando,F lorida next month (November 2016.)

Anyone stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campground in WDW? It will be our first time in the campground with an RV. We are celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and are looking forward to hitting the road.

We know it will be a 2 hard day road trip, but we'd like to split it up into 3 days. So, we are looking for nice, safe places to stay the night for 2 nights. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I know we're heading out I-20 from Fort Worth, TX and take US 49 at Jackson, MS. Then at Mobile, AL taking I-10 all the way into Orlando, FL. A night staying somewhere along the beach would be nice.

Anyone made that trip from Texas?

Thanks,
Vici

Everyone raves about camp wilderness.

If you want to make your way to the beach, book ahead of time. Once you hit mobile, easily the very beast beach you are going to find is off 30a after Pensacola. Topsail state park is an excellent choice with on site beach access that's unreal. And it will absolutely fit your rig no problem. The place is so nice you might have a hard time leaving.

You could then continue on 98 I suppose and reconnect with a major highway after port st joe, but it will be a lot of stop light stop light stop light. You may consider meandering back up to 10 and continue from there. There are many many good roads leading back to 10. Take 85 south and navigate to topsail, you might reverse that back to 10.

You might also use rv park reviews.com and see if there are any parks near mobile, it's hit or miss with beach rv parks...
