Heading to Asheville NC from Tulsa Summer 2018
We’re heading to Asheville North Carolina, from Tulsa this coming summer. Will probably drive out on interstate 40. Any recommendations where to stay halfway there? Where do we stay in Asheville? We have a 12-year-old and 13-year-old and we’re looking for fun adventure. We appreciate all your help. Thank you so much.

Well, If you're going that way and DON'T want to kill you and the family driving...
- Ivy's Cove Retreat, Russellville AR, see the Blue Hole
- Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River RV Park, West Memphis AR. Park on the Mississippi River!
- KOA Nashville, about a mile from the Grand Ol' Opry
- Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, on the French Broad River in Sevierville TN, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokies.
Then continue on to Asheville...

Thank you. For the great input. We were thinking only heading 1/2 way on the first day. We need to rest and play. We’ll look up the places you recommended.

Not a lot of advice on where to stay - we have generally stayed at elevation - think Lake Toxaway - Cashiers areas - Cooler.
The Kids will be good at the Biltmore maybe one day - so look for Streams and Lakes to fish/swim/play.
Just a beautiful area to relax in the Summer.
Might think about a run to the Beach if you really want to entertain the Kids.
JMHO,

Thank you so much. We’re headed over to Biltmore. We study Historically significant architecture with the kids. The beach is a great idea.

When near Pigeon Forge I'd recommend Dollywood. It is fun for the whole family. Lots of shows, rides, great food and atmosphere.
