To show you about the traffic being stopped by the Bison. A week ago last Monday (the 10th I think) we decided to drive to Old Faithful for lunch, not leaving home until about 10AM and arrived in West about noon. It is 16 miles from the entrance station to Madison Junction, it took us 45 minutes! First of all the cars were lined up at the entrance station 4 lanes wide, then the delay was because of a herd of Bison about 2-3 miles west of Madison. Every body had to stop at the side of the road or even in the middle to take photos!

Oh well I am retired so really don’t have a schedule. So just enjoyed the view! Had a good lunch in the O/F Inn watched it erupt then drove home.

BHM jam - - a Big Hairy Mammal jam. Very common, especially close to the exits as folks coming into the park for the first time 'have' to stop to see wildlife. The Charismatic megafauna cause traffic jams all the time. Wish they'd shoot them all or put them in cages so people could get through the park faster.
