In another week we are heading for Colorado in a 35' A with toad, not planning on taking the fastest or most direct route. Looking for suggestions on a route through Kansas from Kansas City on to Pueblo, CO, staying off the interstate. Possible routes could be US24 (a scenic route for part of the way) to 83, down to either 96 or 50/400; I-35 to Emporia, then US50 the rest of the way; from Emporia 50 to 150-56-96 or 50-150-56-156-50/400. Looking for interesting/scenic roads in decent condition. Thanks in advance for any input.

Hmmm . . . not sure Kansas, scenic, and interesting go together. Best route through there might just be choose the quickest.

I agree with radams, there isn't anything scenic about Kansas City. I did some searching and found this site which might help some.
